Technical Assistance to the MUCODEC Group for the implementation of its new CBS

Technical Assistance to the Federation of Congolese Savings and Credit Cooperatives (MUCODEC), to implement a new Core Banking System in all its 45 local savings and loan cooperatives

The MUCODEC network comprises 45 local savings and loan cooperatives and sales outlets, bringing together more than 400,000 members (as of year 2024). The network is the largest Congolese network by membership.
After having supported the MUCODEC in the drafting of the specifications and the selection of the CBS providers, HORUS supported the Federation at every stage of its CBS implementation project, including:

• Scoping and project launch, definition of the Project governance, Project and planning Management (PMO), , coordination of all the stakeholders involved (internal and external resources, up to 50 stakeholders), …
• Change management support
• Cleaning of the existing database
• Drafting detailed functional and technical specifications
• Analysis and supervision of the implementation of interfaces with third-party systems
• Analysis and supervision of the implementation of the new IT infrastructure
• Defining parameters (fields, roles, products, limits, etc.) and assisting the vendor in configuring the solution
• Supervision of the data migration
• Management of the functional and technical testing & UAT
• Support during "Go-Live rehearsals"
• Assistance during and after the go-live phase
