Assessment of financial inclusion in the Central African Republic, as well as of the state of play and potential of digital financial services for its improvement.

The IFC called upon HORUS DF to conduct the study which includes:

  • An assessment of financial inclusion in the Central African Republic: analysis of the practices and needs of populations (MSMEs, public servants, employees, smallholders and producers)
  • A mapping of money flows between Bangui and the Bouar and Bossangoa regions
  • An assessment of the level and quality of use, and identification of opportunities, in terms of digital financial services
  • Recommendations to improve the payment ecosystem and, more generally, financial inclusion within the country
