Diagnosis of the National Bank of Rwanda to implement the Sustainable Finance Roadmap

Diagnostic review of the National Bank of Rwanda (NBR)’s capacity and that of regulated financial institutions to implement the Rwanda Sustainable Finance Roadmap

In October 2022, the Kigali International Financial Center issued the Rwanda Sustainable Finance Roadmap.

NBR selected HORUS to:

• Conduct a diagnostic on NBR’s capacity and that of the financial sector with regard to handling sustainable finance related risks; and on  available instruments to scale sustainable finance in Rwanda;
• Prepare a sustainable finance action plan and a capacity-building plan for the Central Bank of Rwanda;
• Design and provide basic training on key sustainable finance concepts and practices for regulated financial institutions and NBR’s teams.
