Technical support for intermediaries as part of the "Promotion of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Senegal" Program
As part of the second phase of its national development plan called Plan Sénégal Emergent II (PSE II), the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, in cooperation with KfW, has launched a project to support the promotion of Senegalese Micro, Small and Medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of partner financial intermediaries to serve the MSMEs target group.
HORUS provided services in a consortium with IPC, supporting: i) two public intermediaries: FONGIP, which is the guarantee fund for priority investments, and FONSIS, the sovereign fund for strategic investments; and ii) microfinance institution ACEP Senegal.
HORUS is currently providing the following services:
- Support for FONGIP in development of its strategic plan, improving governance and structuring guarantee products;
- Support for FONGIP in risk management, audit and internal control;
- Diagnosis and support for FONSIS in improving its Management Information System;
- Support for ACEP Senegal in improved governance and AML-CFT procedures.
